Provide puppy with routine preventive care. To provide this health guarantee, we do require that you abide by and be able to prove a few requirements, should we ever need to honor this guarantee.
The purchaser must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 5 business days of the arrival to your home. If the veterinarian discovers the puppy to be unsound, it can be returned for another puppy of equal value or money back. This is provided that the puppy be returned within a five-day period and be accompanied with a letter from the examining veterinarian stating in what respect the puppy is unsound. Lyon's Little Pawz will not be liable for any expenses, including but not limited to, veterinary bills, or shipping expenses. Guarantee will be VOID if the buyer fails to have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian within the allotted time frame.
Routine Veterinary Exams / Vaccinations
Yearly vet visits/vaccines are required for this guarantee to be honored and records must be shown for proof. A necropsy must be done on any deceased dog/puppy. This guarantee is null and void upon any evidence of abuse or neglect, or if the buyer fails to maintain annual check-ups with a qualified veterinarian. Proof of said maintenance must be furnished upon request. This guarantee is non-transferable.
·Follow veterinarian guidelines for vaccinations and de-worming. It is your responsibility to make sure the puppy is vaccinated at the appropriate ages! If your puppy is exposed to parvo and/or distemper before the full vaccines series is completed, he/she can be susceptible to these viruses. Lyon's Little Pawz is not responsible for the health of this Puppy after 72 hours. This is due to the possibility that the dog may become infected by a communicable disease after its delivery to the new owner. Lyon's Little Pawz will not be responsible for a puppy's health if he/she is given a vaccine w/ Lepto, due to fatal side effects to small breed puppies, or re-vaccinated before 9 weeks of age.
·Failure to keep your new puppy on the same type of food could result in diarrhea, loss of appetite, hypoglycemic attacks (low blood sugar) or a combination of these symptoms.
Toy size puppies need to eat several times each day and a small amount (size of a dime or less) of Nutra-Stat should be given once or twice per day. Failure to have Nutra-Stat or Nutra-Cal on hand could also result in the death or serious harm of your new puppy if they do have a hypoglycemic attack. Also, it is very important to keep small breed puppies warm. Hypoglycemia is preventable and is not included in the guarantee.
The Buyer has researched and is knowledgeable of the non-life threatening problems that a poodle, schnauzer, or schnoodle may have, and agrees that these are not covered under this health guarantee. Minor, breed related, treatable, or correctable conditions such as Patellar Luxation, or a puppy murmur, or any condition that may go away or is considered to be a condition which a puppy will likely outgrow are not covered. Under no circumstances will Lyon's Little Pawz be responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by the purchaser for this puppy.
With a new puppy come extra responsibilities. Failure to follow these guidelines could put your puppy in serious danger.
One Year Health Guarantee against Genetic Defects:
To the best of my knowledge I am selling a health puppy: it will be deemed healthy by a Licensed Vet before it leaves our home.
This puppy is guaranteed until one year of age againstfatal congenital disease which adversely affects the health of the animal. This includes kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, and liver problems of a severe life threatening nature. If the dog dies within this one year time frame, the buyer will pay to have it autopsied by a licensed veterinarian to ascertain reason. If reason is congenital, the Seller will replace the puppy. All veterinarian findings must be submitted and signed by a licensed Veterinarian and be sent on the Veterinarian's letterhead and backed up with lab work or x-rays as to the nature of the problem. A second opinion may be requested.
Seller will not pay or be responsible for any surgery or veterinarian bills.
A puppy with a defect must be returned to the seller to qualify for a replacement puppy. A dog will be replaced as follows: The dog must show the defect by one year of age. Breeder must be notified of the problem within 2 business days of the licensed veterinarian’s determination. Breeder must be provided a full copy of all veterinary records from the veterinarian’s office and receive a release to all veterinary records. The Breeder has the right to have this animal examined by a veterinarian of their choosing. If a dispute over the diagnosis occurs, a third mutually agreed upon veterinarian will make the final determination. The Breeder will provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value. No refund in part, or full will be given, only a replacement dog. No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been bred or euthanized without Breeder’s permission. A returned puppy must be returned to the seller in good, other than the specified problem, at the buyer's expense condition along with AKC papers and all records. The owner will then qualify for a replacement puppy. Buyer is responsible for transportation costs to and from the seller on a replacement puppy. Seller will not pay or be responsible for any veterinarian or surgery bills. Moreover, if you decide to keep and treat a pup with a genetic defect or an ill puppy, seller will void all aspects of this contract. Replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents of the original puppy. NO replacement puppy will be covered under this guarantee if the puppy has sired or whelped one or more pups.
Seller will not be responsible for any medical bills or medical expenses. Buyer is aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understands that he/she will be responsible for all Vet bills.
As of the date of delivery, the puppy has received proper vaccinations and worming. A DETAILED RECORD OF YOUR PUPPY'S HEALTH & VACCINATIONS IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PUPPY PACK. PLEASE TAKE THIS WITH YOU TO YOUR FIRST VISIT TO YOUR VET TO MAKE SURE YOUR VET DOES NOT GIVE A VACCINATION THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN! Vaccination must be no less than three weeks apart and no more than four weeks apart for a series of three. Rabies vaccines cannot be administered before 16 weeks of age. If you allow your veterinarian to do any of these vaccinations too early, your guarantee is void. Proof of said maintenance must be furnished upon request of breeder.
This guarantee does not cover the treatment of common ailments such as yeast infection, kennel cough, or parasites such as mites, roundworms, hookworms, whip worms, tapeworms, giardia, or coccidiosis, which are common to growing puppies and can be contracted from soil, pet stores and many other places. Your puppy has been wormed frequently from two weeks of age until your possession and even though our puppies are tested and dewormed at an early age, it is possible (though unlikely) that they may still have parasites at the time of sale. It is your responsibility to continue to worm your puppy and check for parasites, including Heartworm. Lyon’s Little Pawz will not be responsible for adverse reactions to Heartworm Preventatives.

We also cannot guarantee adult size, color or temperament. While we do our best to give an accurate adult weight, there is absolutely NO GUARANTEE that the puppy will be the estimated size, or color. Coats and color may change. There is no guarantee or warranty that the Buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy regardless of show or breeding potentials. Retained testicles, umbilical hernias, and bad bites as the dog matures are not covered this guarantee.
