*You will notice that Bruno is a carrier for PMDS, which runs in the Miniature Schnauzer and the Standard Schnauzer. He DOES NOT have it and is not affected, just a carrier. He will be bred to only CLEAR schnauzer females to prevent affected pups in our pure bred schnauzer lines. Poodles do NOT carry this condition, so all of our Schnoodle pups will be clear of the condition.

Bruno DOES NOT have this disease and is not affected, he is just a carrier. He will be bred to only CLEAR schnauzer females to prevent affected pups in our pure bred schnauzer lines. Poodles do NOT carry this disease, so all of our Schnoodle pups will be clear of the disease. We DO NOT and WILL NOT breed affected dogs. Also, we will also never breed a carrier to a carrier. However, it is completely SAFE to breed a carrier to a clear. Persistent Müllerian duct syndrome is inherited in an autosomal recessive manner in dogs but only manifests in male dogs. In other words, male dogs must receive two copies of the mutated gene (one from each parent) to develop the disease while female dogs with two copies of the mutation do not manifest the disease. In general, carrier dogs do not have features of the disease but when bred with another carrier of the same mutation, there is a risk of having affected male pups.
