Our Wait List
How do I get on the Wait List?
Our "Wait List" is continually moving as puppies are selected. Families are placed on this list after completing the Puppy Application and making a deposit. Once a deposit is received, depositor’s names are placed on the “Wait List” in order according to the date that the deposit was received.
How do I get invited to a specific litters Puppy Selection Day?
After the puppies arrive and the litter is around 4 weeks old, we will contact our families on the "Wait List" in order according to their place. Our families can decide at this time, if they want to attend a particular litters Puppy Selection Day or continue to stay on "Wait List" for a future litter or better timing for their family. If a family decides to wait for another litter or a future litter, they do not lose their place in the "Wait List", they just fall back in line where they were.
Do I get to choose my puppy?
YES! This is the fun part! As families respond to our email and let us know that they are interested in a certain litter, we invite those families to that litters "Puppy Selection Day." These appointments are set according to deposit order. Puppy selection day will be held once the pups are 6 weeks old and have been to the Vet.
What if the puppy of my choice is not available at Puppy Selection Day?
This is a great question, and one that everyone will ask. Usually this question is regarding gender and being near the end of the puppy list. If the available puppy or puppies is not right for your family, we will place you back onto the "Wait List" once again in date order, not losing your place in the list.
A couple of thoughts on gender preference: we ask on the application your gender and color preference for our information only. We encourage our families to choose the puppy that is the right fit for their family according to personalities and temperaments of them and the puppy.
Being near the end of a "Puppy List" is no indication of the quality of the puppy. Every family is looking for something unique and special in their puppy, this of course looks different for everyone.
What if I can't be there for Puppy Selection Day?
We encourage you to visit our home on Puppy Selection Day , however, if you unable to visit we will have videos and pictures on the website to help you decide. We can also arrange a video call.
What happens to pups that do not get picked on Puppy Selection Day?
If there are pups that do not get selected on that litters Puppy Selection Day, then I will notify the entire waiting list and let them know about the available pups. They will then respond and let me know if they are interested. So everyone gets one more chance to pick a pup before they are offered to the public.
Will I take my puppy home on Puppy Selection Day?
NO, you will not take you puppy home on Puppy Selection Day; pups must be 8 week old before they can go home. This will give you time to go home and prepare for your new baby. The New Puppy Checklist is located here to help you prepare.
We choose this method of puppy placement for fairness and wanting the best for our families and our puppies. As you can see, it is no small task orchestrating and managing our list. So we thank you in advance for your patience and flexibility as we work together to place our puppies in their forever loving homes!
* It is in your best interest to choose a pup as soon as one is available. Prices may go up.
